Karen S. Travis brings over 40 years of hands-on experience in marine and composite manufacturing, with a career that began on the assembly line at Bayliner in 1984. Since then, she has held leadership roles across nearly every department in boat manufacturing, from production control and quality assurance to training and systems development. Her extensive industry background includes work with leading brands such as Bayliner, Wellcraft, Chris-Craft, and Donzi.
Additionally, Karen has led initiatives globally, including setting up a boat manufacturing facility in Russia, authoring key training manuals, and implementing process improvements that significantly reduced waste, labor, and cycle times. Her expertise lies in transforming complex operations into efficient, sustainable systems. She has developed everything from quality assurance frameworks and JIT scheduling systems to gelcoat repair training programs used across multiple facilities in the marine and composite manufacturing sector.
